How Our Dog Teeth Cleaning Works
Your dog's first teeth cleaning appointment is approximately 30 minutes and costs £35. Follow-up sessions are £25.
Most sessions last around 25–30 minutes, although we always pay attention to the dog rather than simply watching the clock. Dogs tend to make it quite clear when they've had enough!
Throughout the appointment we talk calmly to your dog and use a gentle neck strap while they're safely positioned on the grooming table. If a dog becomes too agitated, we'll stop rather than forcing them to continue.
Can Every Dog Have Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning?
No. Your dog's welfare always comes before completing a treatment.
Very small breeds can sometimes find the process more difficult to accept. For other dogs, suitability depends largely on whether they're comfortable allowing us to work around their mouth.
Ultrasonic cleaning is also not a substitute for veterinary dental treatment.
If we notice signs that could indicate gum disease or another dental problem, we'll stop and ask you to seek advice from your vet before we continue with further sessions.
Home Dental Care Matters Too
Professional teeth cleaning works best alongside regular dental care at home.
We can supply toothpaste for owners to use between visits and recommend using it weekly. During the week before your dog's grooming and teeth cleaning appointment, using it daily may help soften plaque and support the cleaning process.
As we sometimes tell our clients, our magic wand can't perform a miracle every six weeks!
