Puppy Grooming Near Farnham & Aldershot
One of the biggest grooming myths is that puppies don't need to visit a groomer until they're six months old.
For breeds that will need regular grooming throughout their lives, waiting that long can actually make their first experience much harder.
Once your puppy has completed the vaccinations required for them to safely visit the salon, we recommend beginning gentle puppy grooming sessions.

Bath. Dryer. Brush. Paws. Face. Cuddles. Floor time.
Your Puppy's First Groom Is About More Than a Haircut
A puppy's early appointments are about introducing them to the sights, sounds and sensations of professional grooming.
The bath, dryer, grooming table, brushes, combs, nail handling and having someone touch their paws, face and tail are all new experiences.
Rather than expecting a puppy to understand everything immediately, we give them time.
We may do a little grooming, give them a break on the floor for play and cuddles and then return to the table. These positive early experiences can help build the foundations for a lifetime of easier grooming.
Gentle early introductions can be particularly helpful in reducing anxiety around future grooming appointments.
Preparing Your Puppy for Grooming at Home
You can help long before your puppy arrives at the salon.
Regularly and gently handle their paws, legs, ears and tail so being touched in these areas becomes normal. If your puppy has a coat that requires brushing, we'll also help you understand which brushes and combs are appropriate and how to use them effectively.
Starting early is far easier than trying to introduce brushing after knots have already developed.
